On the Competitive Scene
I competed in my first national level event this past weekend in Barry, IL at PASA Park. The USPSA Single Stack Nationals (or http://www.1911ssc.org/), was quite a match and a great learning experience. I placed 94th overall out of 270+ competitors. It was a very tough match, with a lot of tight shots. It was a true test of pure shooting ability and focus. Next year is the 100 year anniversary of the 1911 design, so I'm especially looking forward to competing again next year!
